Today Ms.Lees wanted to do conferences with some of the students. Some students were not finished so they got the whole block to catch up. While Ms.Lees was doing the conferences she gave us a task. We had to do the persuasive outline and paragraph. We also had to work on a notes-taking worksheet.
Learning Intentions/Why we did what we did
Ms.Lees wanted to do conferences with our portfolios so she can see what we improved on from the beginning of the year from today. The persuasive paragraph outline was a quick paragraph for us to write points before we write the persuasive paragraph. We did the persuasive paragraph to get to know how to write one of the basic paragraph types which is persuasive. The notes-taking sheet was to know the purpose of why we take notes.
Reflections/Connections
I felt "marvy" today because I had fun writing the persuasive paragraph. I got to prove my point why students should get a 4-day weekend. On the notes-taking sheet I liked reviewing what we learned earlier in the year and reading the purpose of why we take notes.

Thats it! Tomorrow Trevor will have the honour of doing the learning log!!!
good job for your first post! however, I think you can add to each of the sections. for example, you can explain what is a is a persuasive paragraph. as I have told Trevor, for connections and reflections, you don't need "muddy or marvy " but you do need to write about the connections part. good job on the homework section though. you reminded me of some homework.
